Exploring Faith and the Supernatural

Faith provides strength and comfort during difficult times. It helps people find hope and meaning in their struggles, and gives them the courage to keep moving forward.  Knowing that God is with you and that He loves you enables you to disregard negatives that come against you and helps you focus on His Word.

We at MGM conduct a Faith Based curriculum in all we teach.  We teach that the Bible is our final authority in all things.  That makes it important to read, study, and incorporate the Bible in every part of our lives.  We teach the inmates who they are In Christ, what they have In Christ, and what they can do In Christ.  We let them know that In Christ, nothing is impossible but all things are possible.  They learn that God is always on their side and that He loves them unconditionally.  We teach them to always base their choices and decisions on what the Word of God says because choices have consequences.  God's Word will bring good results and anything else will bring bad results.

Rituals and ceremonies can be a powerful way to connect with our spirituality and deepen our sense of meaning and purpose. They can help us mark important milestones, honor our ancestors, and connect with the divine.  They also help us remain steadfast in our commitment to God and His Word.  Jesus taught us in the Bible that there are only two commandments that we have to remember as believers in Him:  Love the Lord our God with all our heart, and love our neighbor, our fellow man, as ourself.  The other commandment Jesus gave was to receive the Holy Spirit baptism in order to receive the power to do what He did while He was on earth and even greater things.

While science and spirituality may seem like opposing concepts, they can actually complement each other. Many scientists and spiritual leaders believe that science can help us understand the physical world, while spirituality can help us understand the deeper meaning and purpose of life as well as the supernatural world that we become a part of when we become born again.  The Bible is our foundation for faith and it also explains both the physical and spiritual world and how they work together in our everyday life.  God is the author of science.  He is, after all, the Creator of all things.  All through the Bible God describes scientific ideas and workings as well as spiritual aspects of life.  When we study the Bible regularly we will learn many things that even scientists haven't yet discovered.  We desire to instill a love for and intense reverence for the Bible and its teachings to our students so that they will never be without the information they need to live a successful life and be able to teach others what they know.  We want them to know they are called by God Himself to be ministers of reconciliation to their world.
